Give people the final say on Brexit

Only Labour can feasibly ensure that another referendum takes place. When it does, I’ll once again campaign unequivocally and without hesitation for the UK to stay in the EU.

Radical action to prevent climate breakdown

We are in the midst of a climate and ecological crisis. I’ll continue to press for a dramatic acceleration in the pace and scale of climate action and bold policies to drive deep decarbonisation across our economy.

Bold measures to tackle the housing crisis

Far too many local families are forced to live in overcrowded or unsuitable conditions while thousands more struggle to afford their rent and service charges. I’ll continue to make the case for more genuinely affordable homes for local residents and to help those affected by the housing crisis.

Investment in our over-stretched public services

Local police numbers have been slashed since 2010, our local health services are under immense pressure, our local schools are still struggling with cuts to funding, and our youth services have been decimated. I’ll continue to fight to secure vital investment for the local public services we all rely on.

Better and more sustainable public transport

We desperately need more frequent, reliable and less crowded bus services, a rail service that truly delivers for passengers and improved conditions for walking and cycling. I’ll continue to demand better and more sustainable local public transport.
